I’m really pleased to see even more investment coming to Exeter College with more than £4.4 million awarded to the Exeter and North Devon Colleges Group to upgrade college buildings and facilities.
This funding will go directly into improving facilities for students, tackling things like ageing buildings, heating systems, windows and roofs, so students can learn in safer and more modern environments, with fewer disruptions to their studies. Crucially, the college will have the flexibility to spend the money where it’s needed most.
Exeter College plays a vital role in opening up opportunity for young people in our city, whether they’re heading into skilled work, an apprenticeship, or university. These upgrades will help give students the high‑quality spaces they deserve to focus, succeed and plan for their futures.
This investment builds on recent funding secured for new specialist training facilities in Exeter and wider plans to strengthen post‑16 education. It’s about restoring pride in our colleges and making sure young people have the tools and support they need to get on in life.
